Production Update

Extra Designs Finalized

All the files are built and ready to send to print for the stickers, bookmarks, maps and character sheets! I'll be coordinating printing and shipping with Greenerprinter next week. 

The maps can be flipped over and joined to make a generic forest battlemap in case you want to bust out some miniatures for an encounter. The full map image will be included digitally. 

Bookmarks will each have a different knight on one side. The reverse of each will have the Perils & Princesses logo with a decorative border on the other. 
 

Each of the prints will have truncated character sheet with a pregen on the reverse. I've found these kinds of sheets incredibly helpful for running quick games and one shots with new players. Or use the prints to display. 

Book Editing Nearly Complete

The major editing pass from Sean is complete and now Destiny is adjusting a few final bits for clarification and some additional flavor we ended up having room for. 

Once she's done, we'll do a final proofread and get it uploaded to Backerkit so we can deliver all the digital files.

Pregen Character Art + Gifts

Pregen Update!

Funds are scheduled to finish transfer this week, and I'm hard at work getting the last bits in order so that we can get digital assets out as soon as possible, and prepare all the files for print. 

In the meantime, I wanted to share art and names of the 6 pregen characters included with this campaign! Not only will print versions of these characters be included on the backs of the 6x9 art prints, all backers who receive the PDF or Print versions of The Princess & The Dragon will receive the digital files of these characters.  

New Gifts!

What's most exciting to me, is that these pre-gens will be 2nd level characters with some all new Gifts! This includes Regal Presence and Glimmering Aura from The Princess & The Dragon as well as the Bog Wisdom bonus Gift from The Secret of the Night Market. (This pregen only goes to level two, enough to play through this adventure, but you'll have to snag The Secert of the Night Market to get the full 4 levels).

WOW. 

We've just finished with 988 backers, which is the most out of any of the P&P supplements published so far. The support and excitement for this adventure has blown away our expectations, and I think I can speak for Destiny and Sean, when I say that we're thrilled to be able to share this adventure with you all. 

NEXT STEPS

There's a bit of a waiting game we have to play while all the logistics get sorted out. Typically it takes at least a week (maybe 2) for everyone's cards to charge, funds to transfer, and backerkit to get up and running. So for now just sit tight! 

DIGITAL FULFILLMENT

All digital rewards will be accessible via the backerkit survey which will go out via email sometime in April. This will include all previously published material, as well as well as the PDF of The Princess & The Dragon, which is undergoing final edits currently

DIGITAL EXTRAS

All the extras, including the art print/pregens, bookmarks, map prints and stickers will be included as pdfs and jpgs with the digital edition of the Princess & The Dragon. Right now, there's some work that still needs to be done on the extras. Mainly, creating the pregen characters for the back of the prints. In the event that we don't have these complete by the time backer kit surveys go out, we will add the download links at a later date so that we can get the main pdf out as quickly as possible. You will get an email update from backerkit when new downloads are available.

PHYSICAL FULFILLMENT

Shipping will be charged via Backerkit once we get closer to fulfillment. Space Penguin Ink will again be handling fulfillment of the physical goods. Once production begins, I will have better estimates for timing. Since we don't have much to do to complete the products, I'm estimating a quick fulfillment over the next couple of months, but I will be in touch with specific updates as we send files to print, begin production, and other milestones.

In the meantime, the folks at Many Sided Media have been running an absolutely gorgeous actual play of Perils & Princesses featuring the Sweet Revenge campaign as part of their "My First Dungeon" podcast. The first episode features an interview with me, the second features character creation along with session 0, before digging into the Ennie-nominated campaign by Destiny Howell. Final 48 Hours! Plus A Couple FAQs

What an amazing response!

We've gotten to the point where Kickstarter counts the remaining time in hours instead of days which means we're almost done!

This is shaping up to be the most successful crowdfund out of all the P&P supplements and I couldn't be more proud of the work that Destiny, Sean and I have done. 

Looking forward to one last pledge push before we wrap up and start getting this out to all of you. 

Speaking of getting these out to you...

I've had a couple of recurring questions about the delivery of the items:
 

Will the pdfs be available before the print versions?

YES! After you fill out your backerkit survey, you will have pdf access. After the campaign ends, funds will take about two weeks to transfer, and in the meantime I will be setting up backerkit to manage pledges. You will then get a backerkit survey which will confirm all your info and give you access to all the downloadables! 

Previously published materials (P&P, Sweet Revenge, Night Market) will be available right away, and the new Princess & The Dragon download will be ready as soon as we finish final edits. 

Will digital extras come with the digital version?

YES! Your digital version of The Princess & The Dragon will include high res pdfs of the art prints, full size maps, sticker sheet and bookmarks. 

More updates on physical fulfillment to come. 

There are only two things that need to be done before we send to print: 

1. Complete final edits/proofread of the book. 
2. Generate the pre-gen characters for the character sheets. 

Once those are complete, and kickstarter funds come through, we can start the production process!

450+ Backers In 24 hours!

Thank you all so much for the outpouring of support on day one of this campaign! This blew away all my expectations for how this was going to go. 

Having this many backers turn out in such a quick time just goes to show what's possible when you foster a community that celebrates the power of teamwork, creativity and imagination!

It also helps that Destiny and Sean are the smartest, most creative collaborators I could ever ask for. 

Destiny has said that she's had a lifelong dream of writing a book with a cool dragon on the cover. I've always dreamed of illustrating a book cover with a cool dragon on it, so thank you all for helping us make it happen! 

We've got a long way to go yet, and I'll be sharing updates along the way, including a few sneak peeks inside the book and extras.
